My original message:
After technical assistance from Dell, I no longer get the
fancy icons on my favorites menu for such sites as yahoo,
etc., it just shows the regular "e" icon. Any way I can
restore the original website icons?

Friends,
Two people responded to my message (Thanks guys!) and I
downloaded and installed favorg. I ran it twice but my
favorites menu is only showing about 4 fancy icons. Even
hotmail and yahoo that I know have an icon are shown as
the regular "e" icon. Does anyone know what I am doing
wrong? Please help. Thanks. Jeanne

Hi Jeanne - Be sure that you don't have "Do not overwrite icons" checked.
Also, I don't know which version of FavOrg you got, but 1.4 is considerably
faster (and a bit better) than the previous 1.2).

You can get FavOrg 1.4 here:

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the usually very helpful freeware links ;)

You did run it while you were on line, right?

I did have a problem the second time I ran FavOrg, wouldn't run at
all. Can't recall the error message, but there certainly was one. I
ran another program called Linksweeper (which checked my links but
also wiped out all non-standard icons). After that, FavOrg ran fine.
