Since you are so good maybe you can help me with another problem. I go to
http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/gallery.aspx?g=12&xnav=HowToDesign and click
on a card. The card goes through the whatever and the card appears. It use to
work for me but now it doesn't. When I click on a card it goes to another
page (normal) and the whatever starts but it will not download and the card
does not appear. Another tech has had me do everything but stand on my head
and it still doesn't work. Can you help me with that?

Well, I certainly don't want to buy one of those ecards, but a quick
look at the site's design pages shows that they are full of javascript.
Perhaps you have a security program (antivirus, antispyware, IE
settings) that doesn't allow javascript (not the same as Java). You'll
have to see what you have installed. If you can't figure it out, the
best thing would be to have a knowledgeable friend or local computer
professional take a look hands-on.

One of the most important questions to ask yourself in troubleshooting
is "what changed between the time things worked and the time they
didn't?" so ask yourself that question.

I did all that virus stuff and found a trojan which has been removed. Is
there a way to restart javascript?

The only thing that has changed is I installed updates. One I deleted. The
Malicious Software Remover I cannot install. I have tried restoring backuped
up system files and doing a system restore to no avail. I have did everything
but reformat my hard drive. Will reinstalled Windows XP fix the problem?

It would be crazy to reinstall your operating system because javascript
isn't working. Instead, do as I suggested and see what settings are in
your security software. You *do* have an antivirus, right?

Javascript works fine on all my XP boxen and they are completely updated
from Windows Update so I doubt that WU is the cause.

I've scanned my computer with 3 different programs that scan for viruses. All
came up clean.

You keep missing the point. This isn't about a virus. Probably one of
your *security* programs - like your antivirus or an antispyware
program - has got a setting that disables javascript. If you don't know
what I'm talking about or where to look, have a computer professional
check it out.

I'm sorry I misunderstood your comments before. I have an antivirus program
on my computer that has been there forever. The problem is the new microsoft
malware remover update. I cannot find that and I have done a search for it.
All I need is a little help.

The Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool has nothing to do with
your inability to see a javascripted website. Here is information about
the MSRT:

When using Windows Updates or Automatic Updates, it will automatically
run and you will not get any feedback whatsoever, it runs in quiet mode
and then it just deletes itself. After it is finished, it writes the
result to a log file.

To see the log file, run the following command from Start/Run:

notepad %windir%\Debug\Mrt.log
