Hi,
I set up 3 user accounts on my XP machine all with full
privileges.
When logged in to Account A I experienced the "blue screen
of death", for no obvious reason. I rebooted, however on
logging into Account A after the reboot I was unable to do
anything. I couldn't bring up windows Explorer, or IE, or
even the control panel or the Start Menu, I had to reboot
again.
Accounts B and C still worked fine.
Last night I was logged into Account B and again was
confronted with the death screen. After rebooting I was
unable to use Account B, and had to resort to Account C.

Any help would be very much appreciated. As a work-around
I can keep creating new accounts and using them, but I'm
going to keep losing my favourites!

Thanks,
ROK

Ouch, it sounds like that machine has driver or hardware issues. Blue
screens caused by problems in kernel mode, which is usually a faulty driver
or malfunctioning hardware. If this is a newer computer or bought from a
reputable seller you might want to get it checked out.

Here is a tip for your favorites. Once you have the set go to c:\Documents
and Settings\<user name>\favorites and copy every thing in that directory
and below to a safe place. When you create a new account you can copy it
back and all your favorites will be there. The same woks for the desktop.

Good luck, Ed.
