faulty cpu?

I have a PIII-550 socket 370 cpu
but before I go testing it in a good working computer I want to know
can a faulty cpu damage a motherboard?

Not likely. I've seen bad mainboards kill CPUs, though. -Dave

there is always a possibility

however it;s not very likely the cpu could samage your motherboard
