faultrep.dll

Keep receiving the following Stop Error Msg:
Multiple_IRP_Complete_Requests and when I look at the
even log it references the problem as the faultrep.dll
file which has something to do with Error Reporting which
I have stopped. The version of the dll that seems to be
causing the problem is: 5.1.2600.1232 and I've found a
good version that fixes the problem - 5.1.2600.0,
however, everytime I delete and/or overwrite the original
file Windows XP recreates the old one even after I set
the read only attribute. Any suggestions?
 
This is a windows protected file. Try getting by this by booting with the
recovery console, making the changes and rebooting, just don't run sfc
afterwords. Start->Help->Search for install recovery console
