fatal exception

I downloaded the new IE6 patch on Sat. 10/4 and left while
it was installing; when I got back there was a blue screen
with "fatal exception" and numbers I didn't write down. I
had to reboot to start the computer. My installation
history on the website says the install was succesful.
Can anyone tell me if it is ok, or how to check, or to do
it again, or just what?

Go back to Windows Update, check the Options > Review Installation History.

If any update failed to install, it will be clearly marked.

If the patch/update continues to be a problem, run the Windows Update Troubleshooter.
