Hi,

My PC is Pentium 4, 2,53Ghz, using XP Professional. Now
sometimes it fails to boot (no screen at all) with short
beeps or gives a blue screen with te message:

Check of all software and hardware is properly installed
and connected.
Fastfat.sys-Address F995B12B base at F9956000 ,datestamp

Stop: 0x00000050
(0x827F6CCA,0x00000000,0xF995B12B,0x00000000)

I checked the graphics card (it's ok),pulled out all
possible hardware, and another pc is starting up with my
DDR-RAM.

Any ideas???

Looks like the file is corrupted

Start the computer using the Windows XP CD and try to loginto the
RecoveryConsole. Once in,

Restore the file from the CD with a simple copy command:

COPY D:\I386\FASTFAT.SY_ C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\FASTFAT.SYS
[where d:\ is ur cd drive ]
