fatal error during internet access

I know I have a bad driver or software. My computer keeps
rebooting during internet access, i.e. logging onto aim or
downloading a file from the internet. Does anyone know
where I can begin to look and isolate this horrible
problem? Please help.

One of my PCs was doing the exact same thing. It locked-
up once in awhile in Win98, but *lots* more often after
(fresh install of) WinXP. It seemed to only happen while
using the 'Net. Turned out to be bad RAM - even though
the MS memory diagnostics test
(http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp) showed no
problems.

On the advice of others, I downloaded and ran a mem test
using a utility from this site:
http://www.memtest86.com/ (version 3.0)

And it found over 200 errors within 1/2 an hour of
running. Replaced one of my RAM boards and no problems
since. Worth checking out, imho. (By the way, even if
the test results in errors, it doesn't necessarily mean
the problem is in RAM; could also be the CPU or MoBo.)
