I was just given this program a few days ago and must say I'm pretty
impressed. I find it very useful and wonder why I never had a similiar
utility before. Anyway I wanted to let you all know about it just in
case you hadn't seen it before.

You can find it at http://www.testrun.cjb.net

Here are some details from the readme.txt

OVERVIEW
FastFolder by BB is a background program which allows quick access to
any of eight pre-selected folders from the system tray. It provides a
convenient way to navigate directories without requiring My Computer.

NO SECRET FILES
This program is a FREE full working version. It creates NO registry
keys nor makes any secret files. FastFolder by BB contains no Spyware
or AdWare, and is totally non-intrusive.

Caveat: "Microsoft operating systems released after Windows 98 don't
support the closing down of windows to run a DOS program.... win 95 and
98 does. As you are aware, you must stop an engine to change a fanbelt
and similarly it is essential to close windows in order to swap the
registry. The file cannot be accurately maintained if windows is still
running. So, accordingly, Test-Run is designed for win95 and 98. The
processes used in Test-Run will work with later systems but the manual
closing of windows then the restarting is not neat and tidy, so that
version was not released."

IGNORE: The program OP posted about is farther down the page; what I
posted was relevant to the program one encounters when the page opens.
My bad.

FastFolder looks good but if you like what it does you might also try Dirkey
from <http://www.protonfx.com/dirkey>. Smaller, supports key as well as systray
access and just more complete from what I can see.

One of those things I can't do without.

Thanks Charles! Dirkey looks even better, I like the open/save dialog
hotkeys feature.
