Faster Bank Payments

From today, some UK bank payments will be processed much faster

Normally, BACS payments take 3 working days to transfer - but this new system means they could happen within a few hours

You'd think they'd be able to do it instantly anyway, but at least this is a start

HUH makes you laugh all the way to the bank. Well for the bankers anyways. They will make up the short fall in other ways dont worry about that.

I actually do not mind a delay of a day or two if it is in the interest of security . Instant payments will make crime easier and much harder to stop and trace .

Well it should be possible in 2008 to process all transactions instantly...maybe the interest part has been a factor
