Fast reliable free FTP program

I use this freeware program, leechftp, regularly despite having another
paid-for FTP program. It's fast, very intuitive and easy to use. Proven
on win98Se PC but ought to work on XP.

Sadly, Leechftp seems to be frozen in time. It was absolutely a fine piece
of work, but IIRC the author has decided to bail on it (of course the last
versions are still out there).

That said, it is a nice piece of work.
