Fast Copying

Is there a fast way to copy an attribute of a field to several records at a
time? For example, I have downloaded my credit card data and want to set up
expense categories. My first category was "Grocery" and I have numerous
records that meet this definition. When I tried to copy my first input,
however, I found that I had to copy to each record individually which took a
long time. Any advice?

To update multiple records, you would use an update query.
