All,

I found a great program for favorite websites called just urls.

One feature I really love is that is that I can open the web site in a new
browser if I want.

Regular favorites dont do that, they overwrite the site I was looking at.
(Which has pissssssed me off for a long time as I switch between
favorites....)

I got it from http://justurls.com

First I thought it was a bit simple - but then it grew on me - I guess I got
adicted!

I bought it and now my favorites are getting organised at last.

So, while one instance of IE was open, you couldn't manage to use
Start -> Favorites to open another instance of IE to a different site?
Of course, you are expected to have already configured the option "Reuse
windows for launching shortcuts" so it is disabled (so you do NOT reuse
the same window).

Hi Vangard,

I tried that but favorites allways kept opening up in the same window.
Exactly _not_ what I wanted.

The shortcuts worked ok, but not the favorites.

Anyhow the just-urls program works for me. I have google set on the right
click tray url - its great!

Felix

You tried WHAT? To use Start -> Favorites to open a new IE window? You
changed the option to NOT reuse IE windows? You have to use BOTH.
First change the option, close all instances of iexplore.exe (check Task
Manager), and then thereafter use Start -> Favorites to open new
instances of IE. That has worked on several dozen hosts around here.
If it doesn't work for you, you might try to reinstall IE or run a
Repair from the Windows installation CD because something is screwed up
on your host. Of course, the utility gets around whatever is screwed up
so that'll work for you.

OK,

Cool, I get it.

My Favs were _not_ optioned (customized) on the start menu. So I selected
that. Now I have enabled that I can do Start -> Favs. and get my old
favorites.

Don't get too stressed! I was just letting people know I liked this program.

Thanks for your help.

Anyhow, I am adicted to the utility and like it there in the tray as there
are less mouse clicks to get to where I go. As I said before the single
right click takes me to google - neat!!

And yes I could use a toolbar or taskbar quick launch for that but my
taskbar is cluttered enough.

Yours,
Felix
