Ive got a friend who is developing a database and he is
using some fancy fonts that he had purchased. His intent
is to let us co-workers have a copy to use. I was
wondering if I do not have those fonts installed, will it
work?

End user agreement? I'm not familiar with that? Could
you tell me more?

I'd be concerned that though the developer has a legal right to use
these special fonts, that the end user does not. Including the fonts
in the installation package would violate the rights of the author of
the fonts and put the user in some legal jeapordy.

When would you be safe? Would having Access use common
fonts be ok, and risk that everybody has them? Or does
everybody make their own fonts? I guess Ive never thought
of this...

There's an extensive set of "standard" fonts which come with Windows.
I tend to avoid getting excessively fancy with fonts in my
applications; Tahoma and Times New Roman and Arial are all simple and
readable. Other folks have different esthetics, but if you're going to
use a font that doesn't come standard, you will need to research
what's involved in distributing and using it!
