I am weighing the costs and benefits to installing Vista on 3-family desktops
and 2-family laptops. My wife and I and my 2-young daughters have 5 all
together perfectly working networked, XP computers. Free of problems, adware
and trojan free.
Q.1 How much is this going to cost? I have read countless explanations of
licensing, is there really a family license? If so how much.
Q.2 Is there any room for a little cheating? (I ask this only because I am
very willing to pay MS and have been a faithful purchaser of MS products
since 1991. I, however, don't feel like I should have to pay for every
computer (including childrens) in my non-commercial household.
Q.3 If I buy home premium, and it is installed on a computer that the
advisor advises is a home basic model, will premium only install the basic
only features?
In other words can I buy bigger than the advisor says? In case I upgrade
components? Or If I have a license to install on two different computers that
one is ready for premium and one is ready for basic?
Thanks,
