All,

Has anyone seen this error before?

The text is as follows:

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

The specifics are:

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName:
moz030715s.dll ModVer: 1.0.0.1

There are plenty of examples of this error on the
Microsoft site, but none for the specific module. Most of
those I see are related to a collision of some kind with
3rd party software, so I gotta believe that is a
possibility, but none of my users (kids) will "fess up to
it". The problem is, it started about a month ago and I
just now have gotten around to dealing with it, so I don't
really know about any installation that might have started
it.

I'm running XP Professional with multiple users (2 admin,
and 4 limited users) and Norton Internet Security. The
problem only affects the limited users.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Kim

Hijacker Alert!

The above URL lists some removal options but if your kids (or you) are into
*illegal* file-sharing I'd bet there's more than this. Start here:

Dealing with Hijackware

These days most of us are recommending HijackThis to identify and assist in
the removal of these bad guys. Post your files to the forum mentioned on
the first URL above.

<Opinion> You might also want to have a good talk to your kids and supervise
their time online more closely, Kim. </Opinion>

It's a software bug in IE6 dynamic link. I have the same
problem which began last week. And I have the lastest
version of IE6. If you go to HOME on this site. Then type
in IE6 problems..in the search box. The 4th.entry on the
page that opens. Addresses a similiar problem etc.
Microsoft suggests reloading IE6 etc. Which I think
will be a temporarily fix. Most likely the problem
will come back in a few days. Alot of people have been
trying to contact Microsoft. But the problem causes the
IE6 browser to shutdown whenever any link on a webpage is
clicked.
