false virus

I recieved an email about a virus which directed me to
delete jdbg.exe from my computer, I did, found out it was
a hoax, but there doesn't seem to be any effect on the
machine? Any advice, do I need this file?

Yes, you need it. If you delete it, internet explorer will no longer run
properly.

Don't delete it or you will have to reload IE.

Peter,

Seems like you don't need to reinstall it unless you use
Microsoft Visual J++ 1.1 to develop Java programs.
jdbg.exe is apparently embedded in jdbgmgr.exe. Read this
