I can't play anymore Wildtagent Games anymore because
Microsoft Anti-Spy removed the Wildtangent Web Driver.
And, evidently Wildtangent went out of business because
their web site no longer exists. And it's been several
days that I've been checking it. Wildtangent has a lot of
the best games on the internet. My children play them all
the time. And now we can't play any of them. The
Wildtangent Web Driver can't be found anywhere on the
internet either. If anyone knows where I can download it,
please email me.

In my opinion Wildtangent should not have been removed. At
the time I did not recognize what it was when I consented
to remove it either. Then it was too late. I didn't backup
changes either. I guess I should have, hunh??!!

The reason that it was removed was because of their
privacy policy. Their policy DOES NOT protect your
personal information in the event that they are bought
out by another company. I'm not even certain it protects
your information at all.

Also, Spybot Search & Destroy lists it as a spybot.

Wild Tangent should be a optional fix in my opinion, it
does call out and reports system configuration to wild
tangent but this is very common for online games,

Here's what they collect: Memory Amount, Operating System
Version, CPU Type and Speed, Video Card type and Driver
Version, DirectX Version, Sound Card type and Driver
Version, Location that the Web Driver was installed from.
They do also make it easy to unistall and provide a
remover.

Its only if they are installed without consent then it
becomes a problem but its hardly ever the case with
gaming downloads. Wild Tangent can come from pre
installed games on systems from HP, Dell, Compaq etc.. or
from downloading games from Wild Tangent, Also as Andre
says its packaged with AIM games and games from MSN
Gaming Zone, Shockwave and Yahoo.

Im not sure why you think they have gone out of business
Thier site is working fine and you can easily download
the web driver through them if you wish.

Here's the instructions for that:

To reinstall the Web Driver, you must first uninstall it
along with the associated software and then redownload
and install it.

To remove the Web Driver and associated software, please
do the following:

Use this link to download WTRemover.exe.

bin/wildtangent.cfg/php/enduser/fattach_get.php?

When asked "What would you like to do with this file?",
please choose SAVE and save the file to your Desktop.

When you have finished downloading the WTRemover to your
