When a nonexistant domain name is put in, (such as
www.javascript.internet.com) (the correct address doesn't
have the www), the browser used to go to msn search. Now
it goes to some fake search engine called "igetnet." On
my other computer, (both are running WinXP Pro with IE6)
msn search is still used. How do I restore the default?

Browser hijacker parasite!

SpyBot Search and Destroy should remove it.

Ad-Aware is also a good "adware" remover.

Keep these things up to date as new nasties come along just like
viruses/worms.
Get a good HOSTS file to stop theses nasties.

SpywareBlaster also stops these nasties.

This is the parasite.

IGetNet
http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/IGetNet.html

Problems: May cause IEXPLORE.EXE to hang whilst shutting down. You will also
be unable to contact the real auto.search.msn.com and search.netscape.com
directly whilst IGetNet is installed due to the Hosts file alterations.
'Enter Keyword or Web Address here' in the address bar.
