fake e-mail from bank accounts

Just like to warn people about fake e-mail they are getting.

I got one like this today:

These are all fake and no bank in the uk will ask for your password and pin code over the net.

just look out for these.

I get loads of these, supposedly from various high street banks - big give-away for me is that I don't have an account with any of them!

i got one from HSBC a few weeks ago, and 3-4 mins later i cot one from Barclays

The wording, puncuation, and grammar was identical in both emails

Dear all

As with the others, I get these every day and given that I bank with one provider only it's a bit weird. I have set my NAV up to recognise these as spam. This scam has been around a while I think and was featured on Jeremy Vine's BBC2 programme some time ago.

DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A 20 FOOT LONG BARGEPOLE!!
