FAILURE IN CONNECTIVITY

I use IE 6 with windows home edition. When dowloading files from the internet
I get an error message "could not download (file) from (URL) the connection
with the server was reset. This happens fairly early on in the download. It
does not happen when windows is downloading an update or I am updating MSN
messenger for instance. Only when a download window is present. I have my
computer networked with another machine at home. The internet connection is
on the other machine. (56k dailup)
 
if you have a firewall software on the computer, try disabling it an then try
to download.
