Failure during effects

I installed the latest version
The application is opened, but every time I press on one of the effects, the application crash (closed), anyone?
 
It'll be a codec problem, try
Updating direct x to v9 first and then
www.papajohn.org problem solving > acceleration and codecs
or
www.the-kellys.org and look for codec renamimng tool and read the
instructions

Got same problem. just installed mm2 and every time I
click on effects I end up a disktop :/

There is a program called "Rename Codecs" on my website that will probably
solve your problems. Make sure to check out the Tutorial section on how it
works.
