Hi,

I recently had to reload WindowsXP -

IE6 fails to remember usernames/passwords - even though I click the
"remember" box. Any ideas why?

Here's more details

I recently had to reinstall the operating system (Windows XP with Internet
Explorer 6 and Outlook Express 6) - actually BestBuy did it.

Problem #1 When using Internet Explorer 6, I am asked to enter passwords to
select sites when I visit them and I check the box to "remember" the
passwords - but they are not retained. I have all boxes check on the
autocomplete window at

[Internet Options | Content | Autocomplete |

Problem #2 I have entered the information to my RoadRunner account and am
able to download & send e-mail - but what I can't do anymore is have the
password stored.

Outlook Express fails to remember my login information (password to be
precise). The box to "remember password" is grayed out but checked. So is
the
