My AGP 7800PRO started showing vertical bands and blue on my screen.
Swapped it out for another card and they went away.

Rather than have it go to a landfill, I'd be happy to send the card to
someone for the price of shipping (say, 5 bucks). If interested, email
cordovero who is at yahoo.

So.... 100 people send you $5 and you keep money and send no
card....hmmm....good idea !

Yeah, I'm a big thief. Go ahead and google me and find a thousand aliases
and a home address in Romania.

Tell you what, no replies by 5 pm pacific time today, and I'll toss it in
the garbage.

Sorry! I got it out: it's a 9800PRO AGP with 128meg of RAM.

Sorry for the error. I just got through finals and my brain hasn't been the
same.

I'll chuck it. Thanks anyway,

C

You didn't really expect someone to send money for an outdated AND
malfunctioning video card, did you?

He said its just to cover shipping. Go pick it up from him then instead

I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I know the internet is full of hucksters.
But you guys make me feel guilty for asking for the price of priority mail.
Googling me for 1 minute would tell you I'm a coffee hobbyist and Flyers fan
who's been posting under the same name for ten years. Reading a few of my
posts, you'd probably find I'm a seminary student living in L.A. (formerly
Vegas). And if you'd email me, you'd get my 100% feedback ebay handle with
linked paypal account, where that $5 would be Paypal guaranteed.

As to what it's worth, I figured it has no value whatsoever, but then again,
I thought perhaps the memory could be pulled or the stock fan. I thought it
worth a quick post before the chemicals leak into a landfill. Heck, for all
I know someone could use it for the occasional ATI trade-in thing --
something I remember them doing every couple of years back a few years ago
when I gamed.

I figured Craigslist is NOT the place for a video card with problems -- I
was looking for hobbyists who'd know how to cannibalize.

Tough crowd,
C

If your card is "Made by ATI" you can still RMA to ATI and get it replaced
with new card for free.

It will depend on the date of purchase, of course. The 9800 Pro went on sale
in March 2003. The warranty was 3 years, not forever. :-)
