"Failed to Rediredt" error message.

This seems to have happened with the latest IE6 updates: When ever I click a link from MS Outlook, or try to open a web site from IE6, first I get a Windows Installer message, "Preparing to Install", followed by an IE error message, "Failed to Redirect", which requires clicking the "OK" button to clear. Often a blank page then opens, and has to be closed, and another "Failed to Redirect" error message appears over the proper web page, creating a lot of extra steps to get to where I want to go.

I'm running Windows XP Home, keep Norton AntiVirus up to date, and scan at least once a week. Any suggestions as to how I can get rid of these unwanted error messages, or some insight as to why they occur.

Thanks,

Vandaro
