I recently wiped my drive and reinstalled XP. Everything except networking
seems to be working fine. Prior to the reinstall I could see this machine
from my other machines and I could see the internet from this machine. Now
When I try to Repair the connction from within the Network Connections
window, I get this message. "Failed to query TCP/IP settings of the
connection. Can not proceed". I've searched Microsoft's Knowledge Base for
this error but came back with zero hits.
Any ideas?

You need to re-install the correct drivers for your machine, as the PC
might not like the "default" one at shipped with XP.

Then, check the SP2 firewall and disable it for a test.
