After removing no longer reqd., arc impressions and nvidia software, message
comes up stating "Fail to load nvcpl.dll" at startup, also have lost system
restore and standby, also there is this slow flickering when going down pages
on the net. Used search and found a whole heap of nvidia files including
nvcpl.dll would it be best to remove all the these files ?, previously used
add\ remove to delete nvidia and arc impressions, did it miss these files.

You should post to a General MS NG based on the O/S you are using. This NG
is a .Net programmer's NG.

Please explain futher I'm at a loss to understand your reply, I'm only a beginner at this question and answer process and want to to the right thing?.

NG=newsgroup; you appear to be accessing this through the web interface (as
a "forum") which seems to direct a lot of new users to the wrong forums.

If searching on www.google.com for "failed to load nvcpl.dll" does not
present a solution, try asking in
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsxp.general - assuming
you're using Windows XP.

(I'd suggest re-installing the nVidia drivers, assuming you haven't replaced
an nVidia card with an ATI one, but I won't be replying in this NG as it's
off-topic.)
