Is there any type of spray or coating that will prevent Canon paper from
turning yellow from light/air? I asked the local camera shop and they told
me to try hair spray. There was some giggling and laughter associated with
their answer so I have not tried it yet.

pencil drawing against smudges I doubt that it will protect against UV.

Trev,
Thank you for the information. Is there a spray/coating that is clear and
will block UV that you know of?

Extended ??????

The only test I ever made (about 2 years ago)
Same picture side by side on a refrigerator door
that received partial sunlight each day.
Uncoated started showing noticeable color changes & fading within 6 months
The coated picture still looked good after a year but compared to an
original
from an album you could see some fading and slight color changes

Any coating could increase the lifetime of a printing at most twice (mostly
1,5 times). Use instead pigmented inks, they last 20 times more. A
conventional laquer spray could do for coating (acrylic are better).
