fading pics together

i am using windows movie maker. i select all pics and then drag them down to
the timeline, and it brings them all down. well there are about 100 pics and
i need to know how to make them fade into one another wihout doing them
indiviually. i know you can click on one pic and then drag it over the other
ones, but what about the other 99 pictures. that would take time. is there
a short-cut? please help.

Try this...

Ok....all pics are on the timeline...

Change to Storyboard view...

Go to....Edit / Select All...
(at least one had to be selected first)

With all pics selected...right click
the Effect you wish to add and from
the menu...choose...
"Add To Storyboard"
