Faded gradient

I like to use a gradient that fades from a single colour (well actually two
colours that are the same) to tansparent both in rectangular boxes and in a
circle. This looks good behind a text title. This is easy in PPT 2003, but I
cannot figure out how to do it in PPT 2007. Got to be easy when you know how!

Thanks

Get into the format shape dialog as you normally would and click Fill on the
left.

In the Fill screen:

Click "Gradient fill" then look at the "Gradient stops" area.

Choose "Stop 1" and pick the starting color
Choose "Stop 2" and pick the same color, bu also set Transparency to 100%

Depending on the order in which you do things, PPT might get confused; if so,
set the fill to solid, close the dialog box and start over.
