Last week I said yes to an automatic update of Microsoft
Windows XP. included in this update was one for the
Audigy Sound Blaster.
Today I had no sound and looked to find that there was no
sound driver and even the Audigy Sound Card was not to be
seen.
I attempted to reinstall drivers several ways. First
with the internal Hardware Device Installation, then with
Safe Mode, then by using the Drivers disk of the Windows
XP Home Edition. In all cases I had the same error
message stopping me:
Class Factory cannot supply Requested Class
I have searched the Internet and found nothing that
really applies here.
Can anyone help me?

PS I have a memory problem and cannot remember to check
things like this newsgroup. Could you please respond to
my email address? Thanks
