facilitate data insertion

when we insert data in excel, data previously inserted in a column is
automatically filled in. this helps avoid writing the same data over and over
again.

could i activate the same function in access? it would be very useful!

If you are using a combo box control you can set the "AutoExpand
Property" to true and it will do as you want.

I'm using combo box controls with Limit To List and Auto Expand
properties both set to YES.

However the Auto Expand works intermittantly - sometimes it does not
work, then later on it will work (on same field). Sometimes it does
work and then decides to give up.

Any help greatly appreciated.
