facebook

Me..Works perfectly fine for me. Except if I am using IE, well then its any guess if its going to work. Runs best on FF..

Me,

Have to say, it's full of bugs etc. They need to employ some decent programmers. It throws up a lot of errors. But other than that it's good.

I'm on it. No probs. I use IE8 mostly.

I have been spammed a couple of times with messages supposedly from Facebook asking me to make friends with people who are already friends.

The spam gives a link, so beware...

I spoke to soon, as of yesterday I have had nothing but transport errors all day long. Oh and I can't get on Farm Town.....Farm Town is my daily release from this world....:p

Likewise lol. :wall:

I think everybody is getting it...The thing that makes me laugh though is people in general, not you Nobody, but just in general are quick to say Facebook needs better programmers or Facebook is crap because it is showing errors etc...I wonder how many of those people have actually done a bit of research on what changes Facebook team are making to the site, before they open their big trraps and moan. I myself can say since last week Wednesday I have had at least 4 notifications pop up from Fartbook appologising for errors that have been happening etc....No site will ever be error free, and especially a site that allows user input.....

Completely agree MadX. Every site has it's flaws. It's just with FB, it can get slightly annoying when your in the middle of uploading some pics, and an error pops up.

I have had a few notifications apologising for the errors.

Never used the site. I like to keep some semblance of privacy. Here is an interesting story about Facebook.

The quotes are taken from the readers comments in this article.

Now I get why me tech savvy, just made 17 daughter declines to have anything
to do with Facebook. "Mom, I talk to the people I want to. I don't need to
put stuff up there. Who knows what will happen to it?" As far as I can tell
none of her friends have bothered to put things up there -- and these are
bright, hip, young filmmakers. The consensus is that the best way to keep
one's privacy is to be private -- don't put stuff where you can lose control.

So the kids who have truly grown up with the web, who teethed on my mouse,
installed software independently at age 5 (why can't her grandmother?) are
not 100% sold on the brave new world. Sounds a lot like things my 87 yr. old
mother told me about keeping my business to myself.

Kids slightly older than mine jumped in with both feet, only to find
problems when would be employers found out a bit more than they needed to know.
The cohort behind them is a bit more cautious and less trusting.

My daughter's response to the Facebook flap: "I told you so."

Facebook is licensing work placed on the site now. Diana Gabrielle O'Brien, an eighteen year model was murdered on an
assignment in China. On a site: http://www.digitaljournal.com/image/41477 Facebook is listed as the source of her
photograph in the article. And Face book is listed as where the image was licensed from. Licensing, if not in fact,
usually means that a license fee is paid to a copyright holder. I'd like to know if Facebook will continue to license
    material provided by Facebook members.

Seems like Facebook can do anything they like with the stuff you post on there and one of the reasons why they keep everything seems to be that they are after making money from it even when you are dead.
I wonder who told the family as the Canadian Embassy were not aware of her death as reported here.

Lets hope they did not just read about it on Facebook.
