I bought Fabel a few days a go, installed it properly. But when game is
starting it says:

We are sorry, but we have detected that the game did not exit correctly. We
recommend starting the game in safe mode. Safe mode may disable some advanced
features of the game, but may allow you to play the game.

Then a report follows:

AppName: fable.exe AppVer: 25.7.13.149 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000000

Normal it should make a report text in my TEMP dir. but it didn't show in
the search. It said something with compatiblity
(C:\DOCUME~1\MARKPE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\d9fe_appcompat.txt).

My sys-specs are: AMD +1800XP(1.5 GHZ), Asus 6800GT V9999 256MB, 512MB RAM
and Creative Audigy soundcard and 2x Hdd 40GB. This shows my system is up to
spec with the games minimalspecs!

If you could help me please do, payed good money for a game that did start!

Hi Mark,

Make sure you get the latest drivers from Creative installed.
I've started to see issues with Fable resolved that way. :-)

Hi Jimmy,

It helped, I updated the drivers, but I discovered something else. When I
use my Asus prope I saw a power shortage,. The V9999 used 2 from my
powerconnections and drained my powersupply (I used 350W). So for any user
who have bought a new videocard, make sure that your power supply can handle
the power the components use!! I bought me a 500W powersupply no shortage
here now..:)

Many thanks for aiding me, Jimmy.

Kind regards,

Mark

That's great Mark. Thanks for the helpful feedback. :-)
