Hi,

A friend of mine has recently upgraded his XP to a genuine version but upon
install he gets to the accept terms stage and has to hit f8 to accept,
however the f8 key is non responsive.
Any ideas how to make it respond or what to do will be gratefully received
Thanks

Does he have a keyboard where the F-keys are programmable with dual
functions? Make sure the F-key light is on if this is the case. It may also
be he has a USB keyboard. Make sure that the BIOS setting for legacy USB
devices is enabled or try a PS/2 keyboard.

Hi,

In some cases F8 will work only when you press Pg Dn (Page Down) to
completely read the terms and agreement. Remember that you cannot accept
anything unless you have read the terms completly and that is what happens on
the screen too.

I have a wireless keyboard (microsoft) . It has an F.lock key which
has to be pressed once as the computer starts then press f8 before
windows starts to boot.
