I've had very good functionality from F-secure Internet Security over the
past couple of years, but I don't hear much about it on here anymore, but I
don't follow ratings, etc either since. I switched to F-secure after being
eaten up by viruses (kids use the machine) using various freeware AV
scanners.

How does F-secure rate these days?

Very good. I don't have links to tests here but as a Finnish person I
have been following F-secures results in various tests (and used it
myself). It reguraliry is among the 3 best and quite often the best
one. And The Internet security -product line is getting better and
better, it just got protection against adware and spyware..

Yep, their 2006 line comes with a 4th engine called Draco which
detects non-virus threats such as adware etc.

Pro: excellent detection and speedy response to new threats and
excellent support.
Con: Substantial overhead and it isn't cheap!
