just thought i'd give you all a laugh,

nearly burn't down my bedroom yesterday with a faulty PSU, just built this machine, plugged the power cable in, turned it on, waited a few seconds, then FIRE! one of the PSU cables just set alight! wish i could have filmed my face i was jumping around just shouting FIRE! , FIRE! then unplugged the power cable, and kept blowing til it went out!

THE END

it's all fun!

(legal proceedings with micro direct taking place next week ;))

Oh dear!!! ;)

Where are the pics then! :D

It was probably booby trapped for you, hehe!

Micro Direct you say, hmm i wonder if its the same micro direct that messed me about with my graphics card!

I bet it is, i can smell the smoke from your burnt PSU wires, it has there greasy scent all over it!

I warned people about them, there con artists through out!

Pics!

Which line was it, you said the "wires" set on fire, presmably they were connected to a hdd or cd-drive or something, and not just spare?

no not just spare,

the case i bought had a front LCD display and it was the power lead for this that started.

and not enough damage for pics, put it out before it did that much damage, just a couple of melted cables. micro direct have offered refund "pending" inspection.

Micro Direct? They're a load of monkeys - give 'em hell!! ;)

"monkeys" that's what you get if you pay peanuts!

i've MD are a bit awkward to say the least when trying to return faulty goods, my mate is currently in talks over a faulty stick of ram.

don't think i'll have too much trouble with this one as it's dangerous more than anything, am going on saturday so i'll let you all know how i get on, can't forsee any problems though, obviously faulty.

Next time fit one of these ...

:D

Would be nice to have a PC that advanced!

It took me over 2 months to get my money back from a craphics card i ordered and didnt receive!

I rang around 6 times a week, and sent around 150-200 emails (all the same, so they got the message). Then i finally got my money back, and aint EVER ever ever ever using them again, not even if they had Ati X800XT Platinum Edition gfx cards there for £20 inc VAT & Delivery!
