EXTREMELY SLOW WIN2k STARTUP - please help

Hi

My PC startup is extremely slow all of a sudden. I have Win2k with the
latest Service Pack. It seems to hang on startup, but if I leave it to boot
it takes about 30 minutes to startup when it usually takes under 1 minute.

Any suggestions? Please help.

Yes. Hunt up the event log for anything thtat happens araund the time you
booted up.

chkdsk /r /f
sfc /scannow
defrag

and get a good diagnontic util. I use Norton SystemWorks.

When did this start happening? Just after you installed sp4, or sometime
before, or after, but too far after?
If it's a result of the service pack, uninstall it.
