Extremely long time booting up

I am having problems with my w2k machines booting up. It
takes about an hour or longer for them to boot up. It
gets to "applying settings" and sits for about 30 mins and
then "loading personal settings" and sits another 30 mins
or longer. The blue bar is constantly moving. This is
only happening to w2k machines. The 98's are booting just
fine.

We recently upgraded our server from NT 4.0 to 2000
Server. Could something with the upgrade be causing this
problem.

Also I have noticed problems going to the internet. It
takes about a minute or so for it to come up before it was
almost instant. We have DSL in the office.

Please help someone!!! This is driving me insane.

This could be a DNS issue. Make sure that your Windows 2000 servers and
workstations are configured to point to your internal DNS server and not an
ISP DNS server. In an NT 4.0 domain you could use an ISP for DNS but this is
not possible in Windows 2000 domains.
