Extracting Slides in PPT2000?

Is there a way to extract and save slides in PPT2000? For example, I may
want to only save slides 5,6, & 7 to a new PPT file out of a 35-page PPT2000
presentation.

I know I can just delete all the other slides & then save to a new file, but
I've got a situation where I've got to do this many, many times over
multiple presentations. Being able to save to a new file only the slides I
designate would be a super major time saver!

The way I would approach it is to:
1. Open the original presentation and go to Slide Sorter view and select all
(Ctrl + A).
2. Then I would press and hold Ctrl and click on the slides I want to preserve.
3. Then press Delete and save the file to a new name.
4. Close the extract file.

Repeat 1-4 for the other sets you want to extract.
