Hi,

I have store the string in the following format in a field

'\\Lc2000\MISData\Global\PROJECTS_PHOTO\Banteay Mean Chey\P-1626-BC-1.jpg'

How to extract the last part (P-1626-BC-1.jpg) after the last '\'

SF

Try code using the following or simillar:

a=instrrev("\\Lc2000\MISData\Global\PROJECTS_PHOTO\Banteay
Mean Chey\P-1626-BC-1.jpg","\")

filename=Mid("\\Lc2000
\MISData\Global\PROJECTS_PHOTO\Banteay Mean Chey\P-1626-BC-
1.jpg",a)

BOL

Public Function DemoParse()

Dim strTheText As String
strTheText = "\\Lc2000\MISData\Global\PROJECTS_PHOTO\Banteay Mean
Chey\P-1626-BC-1.jpg"
Debug.Print Mid$(strTheText, InStrRev(strTheText, "\") + 1)

End Function

I'm assuming Access 2000 or later. If I remember correctly, the InStrRev()
function was new in Access 2000/VBA 6, and will not work in earlier
versions.
