Hi
is there a freeware tool that can create an icon libary from an
extraction of all the icons from files/libraries on the harddrive for
an XP machine. I would like it to scan the PC and extract all the
icons on the harddrive in one go.
TIA

Does this program run properly on WIN 98SE?
I have downloaded and installed it twice and it won't do a thing.
If it runs on 98SE, are there step by step instructions anywhere?

Lou

I have used it on XPsp2 and Win98se
On the XP machine it found 83Mb of images (many dupes) on the C: drive
On the Win98se it found 1559 items (icons and cursors) in
C:\windows\system\*

oops, this is the one I chose...

IconsExtract License: Freeware

This utility scans the files and folders on your computer, and
extract the icons and cursors stored in EXE, DLL, OCX, CPL, and in
other file types. You can save the extracted icons to ICO files (or
CUR files for cursors), or copy the image of a single icon into the
clipboard.
