I have been using Outlook 2003 for about three months now. I imported my
address book from Outlook Express. I have gone through the Contacts in
Outlook and have tried to update the Contacts, getting rid of old addresses,
etc.

When I go to send an email for one person, there are two possible email
address that come up for this man. One is current and the other was dropped
a long time ago. But when I click on the man, I can only find one address
listed for him. Where is Outlook getting the other, old address? I would
like to delete it. This has happened with several people in my Contacts.

Are the Outlook Contacts section and Address Book section different? What
is the the one place I should use to update address information?

Thanks

Your question is too vague to permit an answer.
"When I go to send an email for one person" means what? There are a dozen
ways to do that. List the precise steps you are using so we can figure out
where this information could be coming from. I suspect it is the
autocompletion cache.

When I type a name in the TO line, the name comes up but with two different
possible addresses, one current and the other ancient. But when I look at
the person's name under CONTACTS, I only see his one current email address.
Where do I go to delete the ancient address??

Thank you

Remove individual addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting
the entry when presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to
migrate to the entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of
the field. To clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
