Sorry about that. I meant connect a USB external drive to a laptop I have
with Win2000 running as OS on it.
I just wondered if the USB external drive is a "plug 'n play" thing with
Win2000 like it is with WinXP.

Normally it's no problem to connect wtih plug and play. What SP did you use,
should be SP4.
