External HD recognition

I installed a SimpleTech 250GB hard drive. When attempting to access it
Vista asks to insert a CD. This is an obvious problem. I went to the
SimpleTech web site. This is in their FAQs but their answer was not much
help to a non tech. Any suggestions?

What was their answer? Either post it verbatim or give a link to it so
someone can take a look and explain it to you.

I bought a new computer with Vista installed. My front usb ports recognize
new hardware but also ask for a disk or driver download for my plug and play
devices such as Simpletech storage device, memory stick and simple camera.
Obviously there is no software for these devices and they should simply plug
and play as they did in XP. Any ideas or help out there?
