Hi all.... I have a harddrive installed in a Vantec Nexstar firewire
and USB enclosure. After a recent power interruption the drive no longer
works on the firewire connection, the USB connection works fine. The
powersupply was plugged into a APC battery backup and surge protector.
Can anyone offer some clue as to what might of happened and how I might
be able to troubleshoot the problem?

Thanks

Do you have any other firewire devices that work on the same port on your
PC?

This offers pretty much no protection. UPS's leave the mains connected
directly to the PC and only switch in when power failes. The surge protector
wouldn't be of much help unless it was installed in your main fusepanel.

Try new cables. Try on another PC.
