I attempted to play some music off my external hard disk using a shortcut but
got a message saying it wasn't where it was supposed to be. On closer
inspection the drive is completely blank and when i open it in my computer
theres nothing there. On looking at the drive properties, the drive space pie
shows a capacity of 0.
Also when i reboot, windows pauses just prior to the welcome screen, think
it says "windows is starting" or something like that until i disconnect the
drive at which point all runs well.
Any idea on whats wrong?

manu test? whats that?

tried to run error checking and defragmenter, the 1st disapearred when i
pressed start the second said it couldnt run on that volume type
