Just a quick question...
My DVD burner is an external USB device...will there be any problem
upgrading XP PRO to Vista Ultimate? Being a USB device it does not operate
until Windows has loaded...just wondering if that will cause problems doing
the upgrade. I know that the upgrade is done from within Windows, but does
Vista upgrade require that the DVD drive is available during the boot
process? I'm guessing that it won't be a problem, but I thought I would
check here to make sure.
Thanks,
Bob

Thanks Kevin...
I figured at the worst I'd have to order the CD version of Vista after I
purchased the upgrade.

Newer motherboards have BIOS support for external USB drives, which means
your statement of "Being a USB device it does not operate until Windows has
loaded" is not always correct.

Thanks for the reminder Dave...my bios does have that option. It's been a
while since I built the machine and I forgot about that.
