I have a IBM Thinkpad PIII-650 with 128MB ram
and a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card. (System has USB 1.0 built in)

Will this be able to handle burning DATA DVD's?
Will burning dual-layer Data DVD's work also?

Don't need to burn at the maximum speeds of the newer burners
just something cheap/external and reliable.

Checked online but system requirements for external burners
but can't find a definate answer on this.

Thanks.

So long as you plug it into the USB2 port, then I don't see why not.
