external disc reader errors

recently, I used the wrong adaptor(for only some seconds) to my vaio external disc reader, and my disc reader keeps ejecting, i also notice the drive become very hot if it is plugged in, the lens also keep moving making some click-clack sound. any help ?? im desperate

IMHO, it is cream crackard, sorry, you will need to buy new.


also, buy one of them silver, or what ever colour will show up, magic marker pens ... is amazing how many of them power brick we have.

The click clack sound is the giveaway - classic symptom of faulty hard disk

hmm.. that's too bad, anybody know the original PSU output for vaio external disc?? i want to know if it is an overvolt or undervolt problems,...

sorry for double post but since im using external,i want to know if the wrong PSU kill the dvd enclosure or not, because if the enclosure is fine then i can use my internal dvd drive for replacement.
